Assistant Mechanic

Description

The Country Club of Buffalo is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined individual with a strong work ethic to join our team. The assistant mechanic is a part-time position (20-30 hours per week). The position involves assisting the equipment manager in all facets of equipment maintenance and repair. Primary duties will include preventative equipment maintenance and cutting unit maintenance. This position is available immediately. While previous experience in the turf industry is a plus, it is not required—we will provide comprehensive training.

Key Responsibilities:

-Perform routine maintenance and repairs on golf carts and similar equipment.

-Diagnose and repair small engines and equipment such as leaf blowers, string trimmers, and other related tools.

-Assist with mower repair and maintenance as needed.

-Perform adjustments and repairs on cutting units and other turf-related machinery.

Club History:

The Country Club of Buffalo is the premier country club in Western New York. The Club is rich in tradition and heritage, with many legacy families enjoying membership for generations. The Country Club of Buffalo features a challenging Donald Ross designed golf course, which is consistently ranked and recognized nationally. The Club’s amenities include golf, tennis, swimming, trap, skeet, five-stand, and brushwalk sport shooting, six overnight guest rooms, and paddle tennis. The Duane Lyman designed Clubhouse encompasses 55,000 square feet featuring stately living rooms, three dining rooms, and various private party rooms. The Club’s revenues are approximately $9 million annually, including $3 million in food and beverage. The Club has approximately 520 members

Requirements

-Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills (professional or personal experience).
