Job Title: Assistant Teen Advisor

Reports To: Teen Advisor / Site Leadership

Position Summary

The Associate Teen Advisor supports the Boys & Girls Club Teen Program by helping deliver safe, engaging, and well-organized activities for teen members. This position works directly with youth and assists the Teen Advisor with daily program operations, supervision, and activity implementation while maintaining full compliance with Club policies and youth development standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and facilitating structured teen activities and programs


• Supervise members during teen center hours to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior


• Support setup and cleanup of program spaces and materials


• Reinforce Club rules, expectations, and positive youth development practices


• Encourage participation, teamwork, and respectful behavior among members


• Assist with attendance tracking and program documentation


• Chaperone approved volunteer projects, events, and trips


• Help support special events and fundraising activities


• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming program environment


• Communicate concerns, incidents, or behavioral issues to the Teen Advisor or site leadership


• Serve as a positive role model for teen members

Qualifications

• Ability to build positive relationships with teens


• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with staff


• Commitment to youth safety and development


• Previous experience working with youth preferred but not required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Active youth program setting


• Afternoon and/or evening availability required


• Ability to stand for extended periods


• Light lifting as part of normal Club operations


• Ability to actively supervise indoor and outdoor activities
