Assisted Living Manager

Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Assisted Living Manager to oversee the daily operations of our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest quality of care for our residents while maintaining regulatory compliance and fostering a warm, home-like environment.

Resident Care & Services

Oversee comprehensive care planning and service delivery for all residents

Ensure resident assessments are conducted and care plans are updated regularly

Monitor resident health, safety, and overall well-being

Coordinate with healthcare providers, families, and staff regarding resident needs

Handle resident and family concerns with professionalism and empathy

Staff Management & Development

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise direct care staff, housekeeping, and dietary personnel

Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development

Ensure all staff maintain required certifications and training

Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

Maintain compliance with Maryland Department of Health regulations and licensing requirements

Prepare for and coordinate state inspections and surveys

Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives

Maintain accurate documentation and resident records

Ensure facility meets all safety, fire, and health code requirements

Operations Management

Manage daily facility operations including admissions, discharges, and transfers

Oversee medication management protocols and procedures

Coordinate maintenance and housekeeping activities

Manage facility budget and control operational costs

Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare setting
• Current Maryland Assisted Living Manager certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Strong knowledge of Maryland assisted living regulations and requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health records
