Job Description - Associate People Services Specialist (Part-Time)

The Role
Liferay’s greatest asset is the people, so this role is essential as you’ll be building genuine connections with employees. However, we wear multiple hats on the People team so you’ll work on other things as needed.  A flexible approach is one of the most important tools you can bring to this role. Below are some sample responsibilities you’ll have.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer payroll & benefit processing, including the preparation and processing of payroll for employees
  • Coordinate and assist with leave of absences (LOAs)
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll
  • Respond to employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Help run reports from UltiPro HCM and provide analysis
  • Organize and create information in our global People Team’s internal collaboration tool
  • Provide administrative support for the People team where needed including but not limited to year-end processes and initiatives 
  • Ensure every interaction leaves a positive impact by anticipating and resolving employee needs across all touchpoints

Preferred  Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/Business Administration and Management, or currently enrolled in a degree for HRM or any related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Google Suite
  • Administrative and organizational skills 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Demonstrates curiosity and a desire to understand the ‘why’ behind processes, decisions, and outcomes, with a mindset of continuous learning and improvement
