About the Role
Porcelli’s Auto Center is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Part-Time Service Advisor to join our team. This individual will be the first point of contact for customers scheduling routine maintenance and repairs including oil changes, brake work, and state inspections and other mechanical work. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, writing and explaining repair orders, and keeping communication clear between customers and our technicians.
Previous automotive service advisor experience is REQUIRED.
24 hours/week to start.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Schedule service appointments and manage the busy daily work schedule of the mechanical department.
- Obtain and accurately record customer and vehicle information.
- Clearly communicate customer-reported vehicle issues to technicians.
- Recommend additional services based on vehicle age, mileage, and service history.
- Prepare clear and complete repair orders and cost estimates.
- Secure approvals from customers before performing any work.
- Monitor progress of repairs and update customers throughout the day.
- Verify final invoices match work performed and explain charges clearly.
- Coordinate with technicians and assist with ordering parts as needed.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and follow OEM processes.
Qualifications
- Prior professional experience as an automotive service advisor is REQUIRED.
- Proven track record of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Experience using Mitchell software is a highly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

Richard personally holds multiple automotive certifications including I-Car, ASC, and certifications from GM. As a well known family business owner Richard is deeply committed to investing in the community in which he grew up. He's shown this dedication by being one of only a handful of automotive organizations to invest in the environmentally safe Green Safe, water based paints. To give back to his community Richard serves on the N.E. Tech Advisory Board, is a member of the Lions and Elks Clubs. Over the years has served as a mentor to many young individuals hoping to start a career in the automotive business.
In addition to being a devoted husband of 35 years to his wife Rosemary, he is the proud Father, Grandfather and Father in law of his two children Heather and Richard Jr. his two grandsons, Grant and Carter, and son-in-law James.
