Automotive Service Shop Assistant

Hilbish Ford is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Automotive Service Shop Assistant to join our service team. The Service Shop Assistant plays an important role in supporting technicians and maintaining an organized, efficient service department. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and is eager to learn more about automotive maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities:

• Assist service technicians with routine tasks such as vehicle movement, tool setup, and shop organization


• Retrieve and deliver parts, tools, and supplies as needed


• Help maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including sweeping, taking out trash, and organizing equipment


• Wash and vacuum vehicles as directed


• Support vehicle check-in and inspection processes when required


• Assist with loading and unloading parts deliveries


• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in the service area


• Perform other duties as assigned to support the service team

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an automotive or service environment is a plus


• Basic knowledge of automotive tools and equipment


• Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment and parts safely


• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn


• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions


• Must pass pre-employment background screenings
