Babysitter - Strengthening Families Program

The primary responsibility is to provide childcare at community based sites using the Strengthening Families Program model. The childcare worker shall maintain the confidential nature of the agency’s services and shall perform the duties of the position in a professional manner. The position operates under the supervision of the site coordinator.

The SFP Program runs at least 2 sessions per year. One in the Fall and one in the Spring. Each session is 11 weeks in duration.

Baby Sitter services include but are not limited to providing basic babysit to children Under 6 years during the Strengthening Families Program sessions.  This position will work up to 3.5 hrs per week during the operating session.  Salary for this part time position is $12 per hour and is in Horry County, SC.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Assist in site set up for dinner, parent and children’s groups.

2. Be available to parents between group sessions for questions and/or support.

3. Provide childcare to children during Strengthening Families Program sessions.

4. Serve as a positive role model for families and children in accordance with the professional expectations of the agency.

5. Capability to work limited hours and evenings as required for this program.

6. Immediately report any concerns related to the care of children during SFP sessions to the Site Coordinator.

7. Other duties as assigned.

• Must be very dependable (e.g. arrive at work on time, adhere to policies and procedures, demonstrate sound judgment).
• Must be able to pass background checks.
