Baker - The Coeur d'Alene Resort

Job Summary

We are looking for a Baker to prepare different types of bread and a wide range of pastries, like cookies, cakes and pies. Baker responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning, mixing dough, preparing fillings and glazing pastries. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker and be able to decorate cakes using creative techniques. Ultimately, you will make sure we offer fresh and delicious goods to our guests on a daily basis.

Essential Functions:

• Mix, bake, and finish all desserts, rolls, and breakfast pastries in high volume using formulas as directed by the pastry chef.
• Use of the following equipment: scales, mixers, bun rounders, proof box, ovens and rotary ovens
• Accurately fill all orders on time.
• Maintain, and rotate food to supervisory approved standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Possess knowledge of bakery formulas.
• Good math skills to increase or decrease formulas.
• Must understand proper food storage, cooking, and cooling procedures.
• Must be able to work around cleaners with no allergies.
• Ability to properly maintain all equipment used during production.
• Capacity to stand for long periods of time.
• Be able to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Must have good coordination, balance, and steadiness.

• Full Time Employees are offered these benefits first of the month following 60 days of employment
• Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week or more.
• Variable hour team members could be eligible 12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.

401K Plan:

• Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater and at the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.

PTO:

• 6 months gets 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week)
• 1 year gets 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
• 2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
• 5+ years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)

Holiday Pay:

• Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
