Banquet Server

Description

The beautiful and historic Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Banquet Server at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills, with a strong proficiency in multi-tasking while demonstrating exceptional hospitality and guest service.

What are some of the things you will be doing?

· Prepare all dressings and cold sauces.

· Always ensure quality guest service and comfort by monitoring the area continuously.

· Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines, etc.

· Serve all items utilizing appropriate China, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.

· Assist servers and set up housepersons if needed.

· Immediately relay all guest complaints and compliments to management.

· Maintain health and sanitation standards.

· Maintain safe serve regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.

· Assist in setting tables with linen and basic silver and glass maintaining a high standard of presentation.

· Assist in breaking down events and cleaning rooms after functions.

Requirements

 · Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.

· Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.

· Hearing, writing, typing.

· Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.

· Other duties may be assigned. 

· Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.

· Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.

· High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.

· CPR training and first aid training are preferred.

· Additional language ability preferred.
· Must be able to obtain or currently hold required Food and Beverage Certifications.
