Banquet Server (Part-Time) - Holiday Inn Express Elk Grove

Position Overview

The Banquet Server works banquet functions as needed, including set-up, tear down, serve, clean, and bartend as needed. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 years of banquet experience. Possess excellent communication skills, pleasant personality, and ability to deal with a wide variety of people

Key Responsibilities

• Complete room set up.


• Make sure all guest tables, buffet tables, and equipment are set up correctly.


• Ensure all requests and needs are met, referencing BEOs.


• Provide guests with excellent customer service, and accommodate any needs for reasonable special requests.


• Bus and set tables, including condiments as needed.


• Prepare the room for events (set table cloths, dishes, silverware as needed).


• Serve guests food and drinks during events as required.


• Be able to answer questions related to the buffet or menu.


• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• One year restaurant or banquet experience a plus


• Must have good knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, customer relations, and service standards


• Well organized and detail-oriented.


• Ability to analyze customer needs and assist in resolving any and all customer challenges


• Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods


• Passion for creating ridiculously personable experiences


• Food Handler Certificate


• High work ethic and self-initiative, prompt, professional service


• Someone who enjoys working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for our Gue
