Job Description

Harborview Restaurant & Bar is a Michelin Guide–recognized Cantonese fine-dining restaurant located on the San Francisco waterfront. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Barback to support our bartenders and bar operations in a fast-paced restaurant and private events environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, physically capable, and interested in growing within front-of-house or bar service.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders by keeping the bar fully stocked and organized
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, bar tools, storage areas, and floors
• Wash and polish glassware as needed
• Assist with bar setup and breakdown for daily service and private events
• Remove trash, recycling, and empty bottles throughout service
• Communicate clearly with bartenders and FOH team during service
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate clearly in English
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Weekend and evening availability required

Preferred (Not Required):

• Prior barback, restaurant, or hospitality experience
• Interest in learning bartending skills and advancing within the team
