Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Barista to join our team! In this role, you will welcome customers, prepare coffee orders and various food items. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their drinks and food in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and food along with being is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Welcome customers into the coffee shop with a smile

Take food and beverage orders

Explain the menu items to customers

Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex

Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency

Maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

Familiarity with food safety guidelines

ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring

Excellent customer service skills

Sales - up sell and cross sell

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment

Ability to stand for extended periods

Compensation: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour

Our names are Rick & Kristi Brown and we have always had a passion for coffee. At the beginning of the 2020 pandemic we both lost our jobs and found ourselves unemployed; an unfamiliar position for the both of us. Not knowing how long the pandemic would last, we chose to view our situation as an opportunity for a new beginning.

We started spending time doing all the things we loved—hiking, boating, kayaking, cooking, and hanging out with friends and family in small groups. Of course, fishing was at the top of our list for fun. While fishing with our nephew one day, we started talking about what we wanted our future to look like. The three of us sat on the shoreline laughing and tossing around business opportunities while reeling in river trout. We knew any new business would have to be Covid-19 compliant and that's when the idea of a mobile coffee business became a reality.

I remember that night Rick looked at me with excitement and said, "Honey, let's do this!" In that moment we decided to go into the coffee business. The old saying goes behind every successful man is a great woman. Although true, we also believe… behind every successful person is a substantial amount of coffee.
