Bartender - The Commodore Bar & Restaurant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bartender to join our team at The Commodore Bar & Restaurant. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will deliver exceptional service and contribute to creating an extraordinary guest experience in a sophisticated, high-end environment. Key Responsibilities:

Ø Cocktail Creation: Craft and serve a variety of classic and signature cocktails with precision and attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality and consistency.

Ø Customer Service: Provide personalized and attentive service to guests, offering expert recommendations based on preferences and menu offerings.

Ø Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area. Ensure all bar equipment is in good working condition and regularly sanitized.

Ø Product Knowledge: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of wines, spirits, and cocktails. Be knowledgeable about our curated wine list, craft cocktails, and seasonal drink specials.

Ø Guest Interaction: Engage with guests in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner, anticipating their needs and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Ø Order Accuracy: Accurately take drink orders and ensure quick, efficient service while maintaining high standards of quality.

Ø Collaboration: Work closely with waitstaff and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service and communicate any special guest needs or dietary restrictions.

Ø Upkeep of Licenses: Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding alcohol service, including age verification and responsible service practices.

Ø Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, ensuring the bar is adequately stocked and ingredients are fresh. Place orders as needed in collaboration with the Bar Manager.

Ø Ambiance and Presentation: Contribute to the restaurant’s atmosphere by presenting drinks in an elegant and appealing manner, ensuring a visually captivating experience for guests.

Qualifications:

Ø Proven experience as a bartender, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.

Ø Expert knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer.

Ø Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.

Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and providing excellent service.

Ø A passion for hospitality and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

Ø Strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to handle several tasks at once without compromising quality.

Ø Must have a valid bartending license or certification (where applicable).

Ø Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ø Previous experience working in an award-winning or Michelin-starred restaurant.

Ø Sommelier training or wine certification is a plus.

Ø Knowledge of craft cocktails, local spirits, and emerging trends in mixology.
