TOAST Murrieta is seeking is seeking a Bartender who is passionate and excited about providing an exceptional guest experience!

We pride ourselves on taking a fun and adventurous approach in the breakfast world by creating made-from-scratch dishes and offering local coffees & teas, craft beer and unique cocktails. We wanted to create a fun atmosphere that people can gather and enjoy themselves, sip on a coffee or cocktail and enjoy some good brunch all week long!

BARISTA / BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks


• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations


• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience


• Speaking to guests, answering questions, handling complaints


• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons


• Plan and present bar menu


• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails


• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies


• Comply with all food and beverage regulations


• Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that Bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc.


• Ensure bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine and beer.
  

• Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs or changing out kegs, if needed.
  


• Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.


• Learning about menu items and memorizing cocktail recipes.


• Taking orders, preparing drinks, bussing bar top, opening tabs, and processing payments especially during peak hours.


• Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in reordering process and ensuring that delivered items are stored properly.

• Safety: always have a second person assisting when lifting or moving heavy items in/out of the walk in

 BARTENDER REQUIREMENTS

• MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY


• Must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service Certificate


• Must have at least 1 year Barista / Bartender and/or Restaurant Experience


• Friendly “people-person”


• Must speak fluent English; Excellent verbal communication


• Able to move and clean quickly in a fast-paced environment
  


• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks


• Works well and efficiently under pressure


• Always keeping a positive and upbeat attitude


• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks


• Flexibility and able to work day shifts including weekends and holidays


• Reliability and Punctuality is a must


• Takes pride in professional appearance


• Physical ability and stamina to stand for long hours

Activities include, but are not limited to, walking, or standing for 6 to 8 hours at a time, reaching, stooping, lifting or carrying 25 or more pounds, carrying, talking, sitting, able to wipe down bar, tabletops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from floor; able to push vacuum or mop.
