Hours: Weekday evenings and weekends as scheduled.

Location: Ackerman Sport & Fitness Center – 800 St. Charles Rd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137;

                 Main Street Recreation Center – 501 Hill Ave., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137;

                 District 41 Schools

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18.00/hr. depending on qualifications

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Athletics, the PT Basketball Scorekeeper/Site Supervisor is responsible for accurate reporting of game scores as well as enforcing both league rules and Park District policies and ordinances. Additional duties include but are not limited to, monitoring weeknight practices to ensure the safety of all participants, court and scoreboard set up, ensuring games start on time, acting as liaison between teams and referees, completing incident, accident and ejection/protest forms, trash pickup between games, and notifying supervisor of any concerns. This is an at-will position.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING

• The ideal candidate will be outgoing, have strong leadership skills, and be very dependable.


• High School students and older; HS graduate or equivalent preferred but not required.
  


• Individuals able to obtain a work permit are encouraged to apply.


• Strong people and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with coaches, staff and the public is essential.


• Attentive to detail with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to act calmly and efficiently under pressure or in difficult situations.


• Ability to work independently, project a professional attitude and appearance, and assert authority when needed.


• First Aid/CPR/AED certified highly desired (GEPD will provide this training when needed).
