This warm and inviting family is looking for a helping hand as they prepare for the arrival of a new baby! They have a special child who is physically impaired and requires some additional care. With a baby on the way, mom needs additional support and help with her first born, age 3. She wants him to have fun, explore and go ahead and get messy! Seeking a caregiver to work M-F from 8-2, a flexible end time is a bonus!

About the Role:
 

• In this part-time role, you'll play a vital role in supporting this special family. Here's what you might do:
• Engage in fun and age-appropriate activities with the older child, fostering their development and independence.
• Provide gentle assistance with daily routines as needed, ensuring the child feels safe and comfortable.
• Light housekeeping tasks related to the children's needs (meals, snacks, playtime cleanup).
• Offer a helping hand with preparations for the arrival of the new baby (laundry, organizing baby supplies).
• Maintain a warm and positive environment for the entire family.

The Ideal Candidate:
 

• Has 2 years' experience working with children (experience with physical impairments a plus)
• Is patient, compassionate, understanding and coachable
• Has 3 childcare references 
• Reliable, responsible, and organized with a positive attitude
• Has a reliable vehicle and a clean record
• CPR and First Aid certified 
• Comfortable following gentle guidance and collaborating with parents
