Before or After School Child Care Staff

We’re looking for passionate, dedicated individuals to join the School District 197 School Age Care team working with children in grades K–8. In this role, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Your Role Will Include:

• Assist the site supervisor(s) in providing a quality, age appropriate school age care. 
• Assist in the implementation and preparation of curriculum and enrichment activities for students.
• Assist in guiding children’s behavior using a positive and consistent style.
• Participate with children in activities.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Minimum of at least 1 year of childcare experience. 

• Experience working with children of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds. 
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.  
• Must be able to work on non-school days. 

Salary and Benefits:

• Competitive pay, starting at $16.89 - $18.59 per hour.

Locations & Shift Times:

• Garlough Elementary: 6:30 am - 7:30 am Monday through Friday
• Pilot Knob Elementary: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
