Beginning Reading Coach

Early Reading Teachers Wanted! Sylvan Learning Center, Oviedo FL is looking for fun, dedicated teachers to help and inspire students. We are currently looking for teachers who are able to specifically teach reading at a K-2 level, with a preferred focus on phonics development.

Sylvan creates individualized learning plans for students of all abilities. Working with well-behaved groups of 1 to 3 students, you will be responsible for leading instruction and motivating students to be successful. There is no lesson plan to create, no homework to grade, no parent-conferencing, and scheduling is flexible. Enjoy all of the benefits of teaching, without any of the downsides!

Job Requirements:

• Must have experience and feel comfortable working with kids of various ages

• Teaching credentials preferred

• Phonics' knowledge

• Must enjoy teaching, working, and inspiring students. (We want you to be happy here!)

• Being punctual is extremely important. Must have reliable transportation. 

• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

What you should know:

• You will use pre-planned personalized lessons. They are straightforward, easy to manage, and fun to teach. 

• Teach students in a small group setting. There will be no more than 3 students per teacher.

• Most teachers choose to work 2-4 days/week but we are open 6 days a week.

• We are open for instruction weekday afternoons, and Saturday mornings.

• This is NOT a remote position
