Behavioral Health Intergration Clinician

SUMMARY:

The Pediatric Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician is responsible for the delivery of integrated behavioral health services to the children and adolescents seen at DotHouse Health. This includes providing clinical assessment, intervention and treatment, consultation with primary care providers, and care coordination between primary care providers, Family Partners and other DHH departments, as well as schools and psychiatric hospitals and outside agencies . The Clinician will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Primary Care Providers, Family Partners, Behavioral health Clinicians, Community Resource Specialists, Child Psychiatry and other administrative staff.

If provider is a license eligible Child psychologist will have designated time for testing and assessment of children.

This is a part time position ( 0.5 FTE ) 

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in meetings with the Pediatric team, the Family Medicine team, the Pediatric Behavioral Health Team, as appropriate.
• Provide integrated behavioral health services, including assessment of children's behavioral health and psychosocial needs in primary care.
• Provide goal-focused interventions and care recommendations within the primary care medical home
• Participate in the primary care pediatric team and other provider teams, such as family medicine, to identify concerns, offer outreach, and deliver care for those patients in need of clinical support
• Other duties include outreach to schools and other agencies, support training of providers around mental health needs of children and adolescents thru the age of 21

Requirements

 Education: Master’s level Social work, Master’s level Counseling degree (eligible for LMHC) or PHD /PsyD

Experience:

• Demonstrated professional, positive attitude, vision, and understanding of behavioral health integration within the primary care setting.
•  Demonstrated sensitivity to the healthcare needs of underserved and vulnerable populations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and between all departments.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a clinician working/training in a multicultural community setting or training/working experience in pediatric medical and mental health settings.
• Preferred: Experience using an electronic health record. Such EPIC or OCHIN EPIC.
• Working knowledge of common computer programs, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Can be flexible in approaches.
• Minimum of one year experience working successfully with a wide range of people, including patients, direct service-providing staff, physicians, other healthcare providers, and program and executive managers.

Certification/Licensure:

Current Massachusetts Licensure (LICSW, LCSW, or LMHC) or Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an

accredited graduate school of Psychology (Ph.D. or PsyD.) with or eligible for Massachusetts License. New

graduates will have up to 6 months to complete preliminary licensure.

Must be proficient and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
