Job Description - Behavioral Healthcare Driver

Position Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and flexible PRN Driver to provide safe and respectful transportation for clients on an as-needed basis. This role is perfect for someone who is dependable, enjoys helping others, and has a flexible schedule. This person will safely transport clients to and from appointments, treatment programs, and other approved destinations to/from any one of our 5 locations. The ideal candidate is punctual, respectful, and understands the importance of client confidentiality and safety.

Responsibilities:

Transport clients to and from appointments, programs, or facilities as scheduled.

Operate vehicles in a safe and professional manner at all times.

Provide courteous and supportive assistance to passengers, including those with mobility challenges.

Maintain accurate records of mileage, times, and client attendance.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Follow all safety, confidentiality, and HIPAA protocols.

Communicate clearly with dispatchers and program staff regarding schedule changes or concerns.

Be available to cover shifts with little notice when possible.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Prior experience in transportation or working with vulnerable populations is a plus.

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and DMV clearance.

Excellent time management and communication skills.

Professional, patient, and compassionate demeanor.

Preferred Qualities:

Experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or social services environment.

Familiarity with local area and routes.

Bilingual abilities (a plus but not required).

Compensation: $20.00 per hour
