What will you do as a Bid and Proposal Coordinator Apprentice?

The Bid and Proposal Coordinator is responsible for the successful co-ordination of tenders in accordance with agreed company processes and best practice methodologies. The Bid and Proposal Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Bid Writer and Bid Manager to ensure the timely completion of tenders.

Responsibilities

  • The Bid and Proposal Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all incoming Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQs), Invitation to Tenders (ITTs) and Presentations within the Bid Team.
  • This is a vital role that requires excellent planning, communication, and administrative skills.
  • The Bid and Proposal Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and expanding a database of pre-written content to improve proposal quality and Bid Team productivity.
  • The Bid and Proposal Coordinator is also responsible for carrying out tender project work, ad hoc reports and completing PQQs, ITTs and Presentations in a timely manner.

Can I progress beyond the apprenticeship?

There are lots of opportunities to develop into beyond your apprenticeship – these can include progressing through the business area you completed your apprenticeship in or transferring to a different business area. You will be encouraged to continue to study and develop your skills if you wish to do so.

What do we look for?

You will need to be a self-starter and highly organised with good attention to detail. You will demonstrate a positive attitude with a pro-active and organised approach and with good problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications together with strong writing/presentation skills and keen to develop new skills. If you have had a part time job or have some volunteering experience or any hobbies/interests whereby you can demonstrate these skills this would be advantageous.

Entry requirements

You will need a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade 4 (C) or equivalent including Maths and English

Ideally, we would like to see education up to A-Level standard with grade C or higher in 2 or more subjects.
