Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Part-Time Bid Courier. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting bid documents and related documents to requesting agencies, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Occasionally, you may need to amend documents before delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to punctuality, organization, and communication. Additionally, you may be required to assist with part deliveries and van runs as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect quotes, bids, and related documentation from the office or designated location.
Transport and deliver documents to requesting agencies within specified deadlines.
Travel throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Montana to complete deliveries.
Ensure punctual arrival at bid lettings.
Make amendments to the documents as directed by the Project Manager.
Stay for bid letting and relay letting information back to the Project Manager
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and receipts.
Communicate with office staff and requesting agencies to confirm delivery details or address issues.
Follow all company policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
Assist with part deliveries and van runs as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow directions and work independently.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with bid documents or construction-related materials is a plus.
Key Components:
Part-time role with varying hours based on bid submission schedules.
Extensive travel within the designated regions (MN, ND, SD, MT, NE, IA).
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines and handle sensitive documents.
Flexibility to work on short notice is preferred.
The busiest season for the bidding department is from January through June
