Blaster - AM Shift

Schedule: Monday through Friday 6AM to 5PM 

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Blaster to join our Fabrication team. In this role, you will prepare metal parts and welded assemblies by blasting surfaces to remove rust, dirt, and other contaminants. Your work ensures that all parts meet quality standards before moving to the next step in the production process. This position supports our mission to deliver high-quality products to the oil & gas, marine, and energy industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Stage metal parts and welded assemblies for blasting.
   
• Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare sheet metal surfaces.
   
• Remove scale, rust, grease, and other materials using abrasive blasting techniques.
   
• Inspect blasted parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
   
• Safely unload and organize cleaned parts for the next step in production.
   
• Maintain and clean blasting equipment as needed.
   
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
   
• Meet or exceed production timelines and quality expectations.
   

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or GED – required
   

Experience:

• 3 years of blasting experience in a commercial or industrial setting – required
   

Skills & Abilities:

• Able to work independently and follow safety and quality procedures
   
• Experience using blasting tools and equipment (e.g., blast pot, dust collector, recovery unit)
   
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
   
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
   
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and basic drawings
   
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, measure)
   
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and reaching

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and industrial equipment.
   
• Must wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols.
   
• May involve working in hot or humid conditions.
