Blend and Grind Line 1 3rd Shift

Summary:

The Blend Grind working responsible for all Blend Grind operations including but not limited to: the staging and preparation of ingredients for production, sanitation of the blend and grind area, training new operators, enforcing SOP’s and GMPs, ensuring paperwork processes are accurately followed, and preparing area for smooth shift transitions. Duties are to be carried out while following established Standard Operating Procedures in a manner that is compliant with our safety policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Ensure paperwork processes are accurately followed

Ensure proper sanitation in Blend and Grind area, especially for shift change

Enforce GMPs and SOPsPrepare area for smooth shift transition (including but not limited to preparing blends and raw materials that will be needed

for the upcoming shift)

Ensure all ingredients are marked with accurate product code and lot information

Ensure all bins, totes, iand ngredients are kept covered throughout the shift

Read and understand the production schedule

Read, understand and utilize blend sheets

Operate scale/conveyor

Conduct CIP process as needed

Utilize COP tanks

Fill fat and or condiment tanks

Fill and clean oil silo

Oversee product change over process, including proper cleaning and sanitation needs

Operate table top scale

Trouble shoot Blend/Grind equipmentUtilize proper ingredient handling/storage techniques

Proper use of scrap sheet as needed

? Responsible for direct issuing ingredients to each jobConduct preventive maintenance as needed/assigned

Utilize Pallet Jack (powered and non-powered) as needed

Keep up with housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe area

Conduct sanitation duties as needed and/or assigned

Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

Must be able to lift between 25 - 100lbs regularly

Berner Foods, Inc. Powered Pallet Jack certification

Must be able to work when deemed necessary by the Shift Supervisor and/or Plant Operations Manager, this may include

possible overtime and/or weekends

Understand lockout - tagout procedures

Working Conditions:

Walking on wet and slippery floors

Standing/Walking approximately 95% of the shift

Repetitive lifting and twisting

Pay range: $15.50-17.00 (based on experience)
