Board Operator

Description

NRG Media seeks part-time Board Operators to run sports programming and remote broadcasts on our six stations in the Northwoods. The ideal candidate must be able to work flexible weekend and evening hours.

Responsibilities

· Operate control board for studio and remote programming

· Monitor logs, ensure proper placement and timing for syndicated programming and commercials.

· Off-air support of commercial production.

· Perform on-air announcement as assigned. Run ball games and commercials

· Understand the procedures to follow in case of a computer crash or loss of broadcast signal.

· Communicate with the station PD/Ops Manager regularly and as needed.

Requirements

• Flexible schedule with weekend and evenings available.
• Willingness to learn and excitement for HS Sports.
• Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.

Helpful but not required:

• Previous board op experience.
• Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations.
• Proficient in running radio automation systems.
• Previous experience in commercial or non-commercial broadcast media.
