Who We Are:

Boochcraft is California's original Hard Kombucha. Founded by three friends in Ocean Beach who were united by their love of real, whole food, Boochcraft proudly produces 100% USDA organic, unpasteurized hard kombucha using whole leaf tea and fresh-pressed fruit. Just one sip and you'll understand why — in a world of seltzers and fake ingredients — we do things the hard way (spoiler alert: it just tastes better!).

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, and experienced Boochtender to be the face of Boochcraft at our premier taproom location in Del Mar, California.  You will be responsible for accurately preparing and responsibly serving beverages in a friendly and efficient manner, while also educating customers on our unique flavors, our ridiculously cool processes, and our great tasting hard kombucha in general! You'll be taking on a high-impact, high-visibility role in a fast-growing company; we're looking for people who are excited by that type of opportunity and see themselves making a difference at Boochcraft!

What You'll Do:

• Uphold our company values and be a knowledgeable Boochcraft resource.
• Provide general bartending service with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism. 
• Interact with guests in a positive and enthusiastic way to create a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all guests.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide accurate and knowledgeable suggestions, based on guests’ likes / dislikes, to enhance overall guest experience. 
• Operate the Clover handheld POS system quickly and accurately to perform sales transactions including drinks, snacks, and merchandise.
• Perform daily / nightly cleaning tasks including set-up and breakdown of bar environment.
• Consistently maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and general upkeep of taproom.
• Regularly tap and replace kegs in the coldbox as needed.
• Additional responsibilities that arise as required / requested.

What You'll Need:

Boochtender Basic Requirements / Preferences

• Must be a minimum 21 years of age to pour and serve alcohol
• 2+ years of experience in bartending or similar role highly preferred
• Experience handling money and proficiency in operating a hand-held point-of-sale system.
• Basic understanding of beer, wine, spirits, and kombucha styles.
• Ability to continually maintain professionalism when interacting with all guests.
• Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in high volume situations.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision.
• Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks according to business needs.
• Must have Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification through ABC, or willing and able to get before hire date.
• Ability to walk and stand behind the bar and in the taproom for extended periods of time.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and understand company related documents including but not limited to operations, safety, finance, and human resources.
• Willingness and ability to actively respond to inquiries and / or complaints from guests in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
• Must have flexible availability and ability to work different shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must also be willing and able to work overtime as it arises.

Work Environment: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud (yeehaw!). The lighting in the work environment may vary from very bright to dim at times. 

Physical Requirements: Candidate must be able to perform physical requirements of this position, which may include but are not limited to: lifting, bending over, kneeling, twisting, climbing on ladders, stooping, crouching, and routinely lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. The candidate is also required to be standing for various hours at a time. 

The pay for this position is $17.25 for tippable hours and $18.00 for non-tippable hours (ex. training)
