Budtender (Part-Time) - Retail Sales Associate  

Cinder is a local cannabis retailer searching for friendly and passionate part-time budtenders to join our team! Budtenders provide customers the ultimate cannabis purchasing experience through excellent customer service, cannabis education, and personable interactions. The ideal candidate is someone who is positive, professional, and able to flourish in a high energy environment.

Hiring Location: Cinder Downtown - 927 W. 2nd Ave Spokane, WA 99201

Budtender Sales Associate Job Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Serving customers by helping them select products based on needs, preference, and budget
• Educating customers and answering questions about strains, products, and consumption methods
• Keeping up to date with product knowledge and continued cannabis education
• Greeting and assisting customers in a professional and welcoming manner
• Providing outstanding customer service and customer advocacy
• Processing payments through PosaBit POS system with accurate cash handling and debit transactions
• Following Washington State Liquor Control Board rules, laws, and regulations
• Checking customer ID’s to verify legal purchasing age
• Maintaining appearance of the sales floor including merchandising, cleaning, organizing, and restocking
• Keeping clientele informed of sales and promotions
• Documenting customer loyal points
• Providing product sample feedback 

Work Hours:

• Open/flexible availability preferred, ideally closing shifts (3:30pm-11:30pm) and weekends
• Hours of store operation 8:00am-11:00pm 
• Eight- hour shifts

Budtender Qualifications & Skills:

• Friendly, personable, and service-oriented
• Effective communication with customers and coworkers
• Ability to cooperatively work with a team
• Excels in a energetic and social work environment 
• Able to prioritize and multitask
• Positive and professional attitude
• Regular attendance and punctuality with reliable transportation
• Previous cashier and cash handling experience in retail setting
• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements:

• Must be 21+
• Previous retail, sales, and customer service experience preferred
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• *Previous cannabis retail experience is not a requirement

Job Type: Part-time, hourly

Starting Wage: From $16.66/hr - $18.00/hr
