Job Description - Building Maintenance Part-Time

Heartfelt Impressions early learning centers is dedicated to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and students. We are actively seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our building maintenance team at Lake Orion part-time.

Our maintenance teams are responsible for keeping the centers clean and in an orderly fashion. You will be required to perform light and heavy-duty cleaning daily to maintain the standard of cleanliness that parents expect for their children. Grounds work including mowing, trimming, leaf blowing and light gardening are also required.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Previous lawn service and custodial experience is a plus
Must be reliable and punctual
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Willing to complete a background check (conducted by Heartfelt Impressions)

POSITION DETAIL:

Part-time
Standard shift is 4-6 hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain building exterior, including mowing, trimming, etc.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Gather and empty trash daily.
Clean, scrub, and sanitize garbage cans that are soiled.
Ensure all containers of poisonous or toxic chemicals are clearly labelled and stored away from child areas.
Clean and stock restrooms daily.
Nightly; sanitize tables, chairs, counters, bookshelves, floors, sinks, and toilets.
Must follow OSHA procedures and licensing standards for handling of chemicals and toxic materials.
check and dust for cobwebs daily.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The ideal candidate will be thorough, conscientious, and observant.
Must have the ability to work with and around children.
Must be able to move around easily and bend or squat as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
