The Bus Driver plays a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and friendly transportation for residents. This position supports the community by providing scheduled and on‑demand transportation, assisting residents during boarding, and helping create a positive and comfortable travel experience. The Bus Driver also supports basic administrative tasks related to transportation schedules and vehicle upkeep.
Provides safe and timely transportation for residents to appointments, community outings, and scheduled events.
Follows established daily and monthly transportation schedules and assists in planning efficient routes.
Promotes a welcoming and supportive environment by encouraging resident comfort, independence, and engagement during travel.
Assists residents during boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring safety for individuals of all mobility levels.
Maintains accurate transportation logs, sign‑up sheets, and schedule updates.
Ensures the company vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good working condition; reports maintenance needs promptly.
Supports residents by offering clear communication, patience, and assistance throughout each trip.
Represents the community positively when interacting with outside organizations, medical offices, and local businesses.
Energetic, personable, and enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to support residents.
Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and staff.
Demonstrates strong listening skills and patience, especially when assisting older adults.
Understands the physical and emotional needs of aging individuals.
Maintains a calm, positive attitude and encourages residents to feel confident and comfortable during transportation.
