Job Description - Business Office Concierge & Collections Specialist


Jackson County Medical Care Facility is a 194-bed, Eden Alternative certified home where residents, family members, and Care Partners are actively involved in their care decisions and lifestyle choices, creating a supportive home environment. Most recently, JCMCF has been recognized as a Bronze Quality Award winner by the American Healthcare Association (AHCA)! 

Our skilled nursing facility Business Office is seeking a part-time resident-focused Collections Concierge to support residents and their representatives from admission through discharge.  This role blends hospitality and collection coordination with a strong emphasis on Medicaid awareness, application, and private pay collections.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·         Bill, monitor, and collect private pay accounts monthly and ongoing following procedural policy, maintaining accurate collection documentation while demonstrating drive, comfort, and confidence collecting outstanding balances (statements)
·         Serve as the primary financial point of contact for residents and their representatives from admission through discharge to include attending interdisciplinary staff meetings (meet w/ them at admission, ongoing)
·         Coordinate, track, and follow through on all components of the Medicaid application process, including documentation and deadlines on Medicaid eligibility and financial options under the guidance of a Lead 
·         Cross-training to offer coverage and support for Business Office
 
Qualifications:
·         Associate Degree and/or Minimum of two years of collections or equal experience preferred
·         Proficiency with Microsoft and Organizational Software Applications
·         Positive communication and customer service skills
·         Ability to handle sensitive financial discussions with professionalism and empathy
·         Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience helpful
·         Salary based on experience

  • Paid Time Off accrued biweekly (Based on Full-time status, Part-time status gets 50% of the below amount)
    • 56  hours at 90 days.
    • 52 more hours at 6 months
    • 108 at 1 year anniversary
    • 172 hours at 2 year anniversary and more hours with seniority.
