Cabarrus County Jail- Part Time Commissary Distribution

Description

•  This part-time position is offering up to 20 hours per week.
• Responsible for distributing individual commissary snack products to inmates in housing units within Cabarrus County Jail in Concord, NC. 
• Responsible for receiving, separating, and preparing individual inmate commissary orders for distribution to inmates in the respective assigned housing locations.
• Distributing individual commissary orders to inmates at times and locations as directed by the facility administrator.
• Properly handling product shortages or damages for orders within company and facility policy.
• Caring for and maintaining any on-site products and keeping the work areas clean.
• Assisting in maintaining equipment necessary to carry out the commissary functions at the assigned facility.
• Act as liaison with facility staff and inmates on a day to day basis.
• Work closely with the Field Operations Manager and Site Coordinator to provide best in class service to the assigned facility including reporting service or relationship issues immediately.

Requirements

• Ability to successfully pass and maintain a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Read and comprehend documentation written at a nationally accepted high school level.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have the ability to work in a secure corrections environment.
• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift items weighing up to sixty (60) pounds to a height of 54 inches
• Ability to push, pull or drag up to one hundred (100) pounds of weight
• Ability to communicate verbally
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
