Job Summary

We are looking for a Part-Time Dishwasher to join our Cafe team! A successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, passionate, and engaging with the kitchen team. They will be responsible for washing and storing all pots, pans, and utensils in the proper manner, washing/maintaining kitchen area floors, kitchen walls and select kitchen equipment. This is a fast-paced role and requires comfortability operating accordingly.

This role will have approximately 20 hours a week scheduled with a focus on Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. 

Responsibilities

• Operates dishwashing machine, making sure it is in proper working condition and reports dishwashing machine problems to the appropriate supervisor.
• Scrapes all pans and pre-washes before putting into washing machine. When washing is completed, empties tank, cleans inside and out with soapy water.
• Washes pots by hand using prescribed amounts of soap and disinfectant. Ensures all food, grease, and residue is removed. Changes water as needed for best results.
• Air-dries all items before storing. Stores in neat fashion and rotates stock so all items are used regularly.
• Maintains pot and pan storage area including surrounding floors and walls.
• Maintains a sanitary workstation. 
• Helps keep kitchen area clean and keep trash off the floor.
• Sweeps, washes or mops kitchen as directed and needed before end of shift.
• Removes all trash to appropriate areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Working Conditions

Works in a non-smoking, normal store environment where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc.

Education And Experience (E = Essential D = Desired)

• High school education or equivalent or current enrollment is required
• Previous sanitation, dishwashing, or environmental services experience is a plus
