Position Overview:
Invite children and families to play and connect with each other through the joy of music! Kidspace Children’s Museum seeks a team of seasonal staff to lead children and families in creating music together during Kidspace Campout Seasonal Theme. Kidspace Campout is a celebration of togetherness expressed through the lens of traditional American summer pastimes—going to camp, road trips with friends, outdoor exploration, silly games, and of course, songs around the campfire! Each day, Campout Music Facilitators collaborate with guests to sing feel-good songs around the “campfire”. This role is for someone who loves to make music with others and can invite and engage children and families into the experience.
This is a summer season position that begins April 30, 2025 and ends September 14, 2025.
Mandatory Dates:
Applicants must play a guitar-like string instrument (guitar, ukele, banjo, etc) and sing. Applicants must provide a resume, short paragraph describing their experience creating music with others, and a video demonstrating a traditional campfire song or sing-along song with a string instrument and voice. Selected applicants will participate in an in-person group interview at the museum, where they will be asked to come prepared to lead us in a campfire song that feels sweet, silly, and/or inviting.
