Campus Set Up Technician

Willow Creek Community Church is an egalitarian non-denominational, multi-site church in and across Chicagoland passionate about helping people take next steps to love God, love people, and change the world. 

As a part time Campus Set Up Technician you’ll provide facility room set-up and A/V technical support, maintenance and quality control of campus environments, and guest services during open building hours for church services, ministry initiatives and Missional Space events. In addition, you’ll lead volunteer teams, which includes developing, pastoring, and training volunteers. 

This part time position is for about 20 hours per week. This role requires the ability to work a flexing schedule including various evenings, weekend and/or day shifts when necessary. The pay range for this position is $16.40/hr to $21/hr and is dependent upon experience and skill set. Benefits include the ability to accrue paid vacation time, plus paid time off the week after Christmas and the week of July 4th, counseling reimbursement and the ability to contribute to a retirement savings plan.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide facility set-up and campus preparation leadership for daily ministry, special events, missional space initiatives and outside rentals.
• Provide customer/guest services leadership for internal ministry and outside groups. (Campus Assistance Line, A/V technical support, coordinating with Facility and Risk Management on campus safety and building issues, etc.)
• Maintain a specialty area management task or team value leadership role (training, audio-visual, inventory management, lost and found management, lobby request oversight, team spiritual formation etc.)
• Train, develop and communicate with volunteers
• Model and provide spiritual leadership to the ministry (in the midst of and through the work of the ministry)
• Provide point leadership on evacuation, security and safety issues
