Job Title: Caregiver - Variable Hours

Location: Collin County, TX

Type: Hourly, individual contributor role

Job Summary:

Generations Home Care is currently seeking quality caregivers to join our team in providing home care services to our clients in McKinney, Allen, Melissa, Prosper, and throughout Collin County. As a caregiver with our company, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our clients by assisting them with their daily activities, providing emotional support, and promoting their overall well-being. This is a variable-hour position, with opportunities for part-time or full-time work depending on performance, client requests, and availability. Experience is preferred, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Hourly pay rate of $16.50 to $18.00, depending on experience and length of shift

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct care and assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

- Assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and other household tasks

- Assist with mobility and transfers (e.g., using Hoyer lifts, transferring from bed to chair, etc.)

- Reminding the client to take medications as prescribed by the client's physician, following proper procedures and protocols

- Document all client care activities accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies and procedures

- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare team members to ensure the best quality of care for our clients

- Use of agency technology for monitoring time and productivity (app-based clocking in and out, task tracking, etc.)

- Maintain a safe and clean environment for our clients, following infection control and safety protocols

- Demonstrate professionalism and ethical behaviors at all times while providing care to our clients

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Current CPR certification or ability to earn certification

- Ability to pass a criminal background check

- Kindness and care are the top priority 

- Excellent communication and reliability

- Compassionate, empathetic, and reliable

- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
