Caregiver 2pm-10pm Full time and Part time

Description

-High school diploma required

-1-year dementia care experience preferred

-Reliable transportation

-CNA a plus!

-Direct Care Staff Certification a plus!

Requirements

· Supervise and care for residents daily according to your work list and assignment

· Aid with activities of daily living according to resident’s individualized Care Plan, regarding bathing, shower, shampoo, if necessary, make bed, linens, escorts, assistance with dressing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair and fingernail care if needed

· Provide assistance with toileting, personal care, changing incontinence products

· Report and record observations of change in resident condition to director/ supervisor and transfer relevant information to the next shift through the 24-hour shift report

· Provide assistance in dining room, including, but not limited to cutting up food, mirror imaging, cueing, and feeding assistance, as needed

· Be patient and understanding when communicating with staff, residents, and visitors. Speak slowly and clearly

· Retrieve soiled linen and personal clothing from resident living areas. Sort and pre-soak linens, as required, before washing

· Participate in in-service educational programs, as required by the community and state.

· Obtain resident weights, as needed

· Maintain universal precautions, bloodborne pathogens and biohazard precautions
