Description:

ExpertCare is hiring! We are seeking a patient, compassionate, and reliable caregiver to support a 5-year-old boy in Davisburg who has been diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This position requires someone who can create a structured, nurturing environment while understanding the unique emotional and behavioral needs associated with trauma and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one care and supervision in a home setting as well as their local community

• Assist with daily routines, including meals, play, rest time, and hygiene

• Engage in therapeutic, sensory-friendly activities tailored to the child’s needs

• Support emotional regulation through trauma-informed approaches

• Communicate regularly with parents and/or guardians about progress and concerns

• Maintain a consistent and calming presence to foster trust and safety

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with special needs preferred

• Background in early childhood education, social work, psychology, or related field a plus

• Willingness to complete paid training within two weeks of being offered position

• Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to child-centered care

• Must pass background checks and provide references

Schedule: Flexible scheduling available; consistent weekly hours preferred
