The Home Care full-time or part-time Floaters at AW Health Care are highly experienced and dedicated professionals who crave fresh challenges every day in their job. We are also looking for Floaters with ostomy care experience. The Home Care Floaters must be willing to travel to North, Central and South St Louis City and Counties to care for clients located in these areas,
The Home Care Floaters are contacted for client visits as needed to provide care coverage day or evening, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, when regular staff are unavailable or when new, unassigned cases arise. The Home Care Floater professionals need to have flexibility in their week and every other weekend to ensure that each client's needs are met with the highest level of care.
Full Time Floater Schedule: Monday - Friday, every other weekend a month on call required, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Part Time Floater Schedule: 2-3 weekdays and every other weekend required, 8:00AM - 8:00PM
(Preference for Caregivers or CNAs with Ostomy Care experience)

Floater Responsibilities:
Assist the client with personal hygiene such is bathing, care of skin, mouth and hair. Instruct client and family in meeting client’s personal hygiene needs
Provide physical assistance in client transfer, positioning and ambulation as outlined in the client care plan.
Change client bed linen as needed, light laundry and housekeeping.
Clear client’s path of clutter or client’s room to provide for maximum client safety.
Prepare a light meal if visit during mealtime.
Assist in cleaning and maintaining supplies and equipment in proper condition.
Assist the recipient with ordinarily self-administered medications (open bottles, get water).
Client transportation and errands if indicated in the Care Plan.
Assist with any Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) not previously listed and within the scope of service and licensure.
Requirements
Must be at least18 years of age.
Must have valid driver's license, your own reliable, personal vehicle with full coverage auto insurance.
Experience with Colostomy Care (Preferred)
Must be able to demonstrate experience with Transfers, Gait Belts, Hoyer Lifts, Sit-To -Stands and assisted elderly with stability issues in the interview and/or orientation.
CNA preferred or highly experienced Caregiver that is friendly, outgoing and ready for any type of care.
Must be able to work in homes with pets and smokers.
Must have at least one year or more paid work experienceas an agency CNA or Caregiver caring for elderly individuals.
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and the skills necessary to provide the care appropriate to the age of the clients served in the interview and/or orientation.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to participate in physical activity for any length of shift.
Ability to do extensive standing, bending, lifting and on a regular basis.
