Caregiver Needed: Oregon City, OR: 15-30 Hours/Week

Senior Helpers Portland West, a family-owned and operated home care agency, is hiring a dedicated part-time caregiver to support a senior in Oregon City. About the Client:

This client has dementia and requires a caregiver who is:

• Patient, calm, and confident with personal care


• Creative in engaging the client in activities and conversation


• Positive, empathetic, and emotionally steady

Please note: The home includes a large dog and a cat, so comfort with pets is essential. The location is in the countryside, so reliable transportation and a willingness to drive there are required.

Position Details

• Schedule: 15 hours/week to start, with potential to increase to 25–30 hours/week


• Pay: $18.50–$20/hour


• Location: Oregon City

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, mobility)


• Provide companionship and emotional support


• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping


• Drive the client to appointments and errands


• Monitor health and communication with family and care team

Requirements

• Ability to perform personal care tasks confidently


• Must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle


• Previous caregiving experience preferred, but training is provided
