Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and hard-working Cashier to join our team! As a Cashier, you will ring up sales, take payments, and issue receipts. You will provide excellent customer service by ensuring all transactions run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operation.

Responsibilities

Greet each customer with a smile and actively assist while they are shopping

Work the register to ring up sales and complete transactions

Collect payments by cash and credit card

Issue receipts and refunds to customers

Maintain a solid knowledge of product inventory to assist customers with their selections

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively

Willingness to work well in a team environment

Ability to quickly and accurately work a register

Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Compensation: $17.50 per hour

We are committed to bringing the joys of the small family farm to your home. Farm Box CSA brings local fruits and vegetables from nearby farms.

Our long-standing relationships with small farms allow us to supply you with the widest variety of produce year-round. All of the farms are certified organic unless otherwise specified (i.e., transitional growers in the process of certification).

Several small growers bring their produce to our facility daily. In addition, we visit many farms in the area and hand select fresh fruit and veggies to bring back. Between the pick ups and deliveries, we put together boxes from these growers to bring you truly fresh, local produce.

We believe in the “old school” way. Growers benefit more from our CSA Farm Box for their hard labor, but we never accept or sell inferior quality produce.

We want local, environmentally conscious farms with great produce to thrive. The support from your CSA Farm Box purchase goes back into the farms, allowing them to re-supply with items like organic fertilizer, new work boots for the harvesting crew, and funding toward certifying more acreage.
