Job Summary:

So Sweet Lebanese & French Pastries in Toledo, OH is seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Bakery Cashier to join our team. As a Bakery Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to all bakery patrons while efficiently and accurately handling transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet customers with a warm and friendly smile, and assist them in making their purchases.

Handle transactions efficiently and accurately, including cash, credit/debit card, and other forms of payment.

Operate a cash register, weighing scales, and other related equipment to complete sales transactions.

Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and record all transactions accurately.

Answer customer questions about bakery products, prices, ingredients, and availability.

Keep the bakery area clean, organized, and well-stocked, and report any inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.

Communicate effectively with bakery staff to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times.

Upsell bakery products and promote special offers and deals to customers.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards all customers and coworkers.

Perform other duties as assigned by the bakery supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines preferred.
