Cashier - Part Time

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers with a positive attitude, answer questions, and provide assistance in a friendly and professional manner.
• Transaction Handling: Accurately scan and process all purchases, apply discounts, and handle payments (cash, credit, debit, mobile payments).
• Checkout Operations: Maintain an organized and efficient checkout area, including bagging items and ensuring the safe transfer of products to customers.
• Product Knowledge: Stay informed about store products, promotions, and store policies to assist customers with their shopping needs.
• Cash Management: Handle cash drawer responsibly, provide accurate change, and balance the register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Inventory Support: Occasionally assist with stocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring that the checkout area is clean and well-stocked.
• Customer Interaction: Address customer concerns or issues promptly and escalate to a supervisor if needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Compliance: Adhere to store policies, health and safety regulations, and other relevant guidelines while performing job duties.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

· Standing Endurance: Ability to stand for extended periods.

· Mobility: Comfortable moving around the store to assist with tasks as needed.

· Manual Dexterity: Proficient in handling transactions and counting cash accurately.

· Visual & Auditory Precision: Clear vision and hearing to ensure transactions are accurate and customers are heard in a busy atmosphere.

· Lifting Ability: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds when needed.

· Allergy Tolerance: Handle fresh ingredients without issues.

· Bending and Reaching: Capability to bend, stoop, twist, push, pull, and reach both above head and below waist level.

· Repetitive Motion: Capacity to perform repetitive tasks, such as sample preparation with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

· Environmental Comfort: Comfortable working in various temperatures.
