Job Description - Catering & Event Bartender

We’re currently hiring Catering Bartenders to support our growing private events program at Tap Room Rockville Centre. If you love hospitality, thrive in fast-paced settings, and enjoy creating memorable guest experiences—this is your moment.

Who You are

You enjoy creating quality drinks while engaging with guests and building connections. You thrive in a busy, energetic environment and understand the balance of speed, accuracy, and genuine hospitality. As a Tap Room Bartender, you help set the tone for the guest experience and contribute to a fun, positive team atmosphere.

What You'll Do

Provide warm, professional service throughout private events

Prepare and serve beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) efficiently and with attention to detail.

Follow direction from the Catering Captain and leadership team

Help ensure every guest has an exceptional Tap Room experience

Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to every guest at the bar and in the dining room.

Maintain full knowledge of our food, beverage, and beer menus, along with current specials and promotions.

Ensure prompt service for bar guests, along with service bar.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar.

Have knowledge of proper pours and use of glassware.

Ask for ID anytime serving alcohol to guests.

Adheres to state, federal, and company liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.

Assist fellow team members in the performance of their responsibilities. We want team players only!

Complete all opening and closing tasks pertinent to the bartending position, as well as running side-work.

All other duties as assigned.

What We'll Need From You

At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role

Availability – Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements – Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour
