Catholic Choir Director

Location: Dyess Air Force Base, Texas

Position: Part-time

Requirements:

• Proficiency in playing the piano, as it is the primary instrument used during services.
• Two years of experience as a Catholic liturgical accompanist and leading choral and congregational music in a parish setting.
• Degree in Music from an accredited institution.
• Experience with soundboards and sound systems (preferred but not required).

Duties:

• Coordinate with the liturgist and Catholic priest for music selection and approval.
• Perform and direct all hymns and Mass parts during regular Masses and seasonal celebrations.
• Be present 30 minutes before services to coordinate and prepare with the Catholic priest.
• Direct weekly practice sessions and additional rehearsals as needed.
• Ensure the chapel is secured and equipment is properly managed after services and rehearsals.
