Catholic Music Accompanist

Job Title: Catholic Music Accompanist
Job Type: Part-Time
Location: Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ

Qualifications:

• Willingness to provide services following traditional ecclesiastical liturgical practices.
• Proven familiarity with Catholic worship requirements.
• Evidence of academic certification and/or experience in Catholic music.
• Proficiency in sight-reading, transposing, and developing accompaniment for melodies and chords, as well as reading full musical scores.
• Ability to maintain healthy, functional interpersonal relationships with co-workers, chapel staff, and parishioners.

Duties:

• Play music at liturgical services under the direction of the Catholic Music Director.
• Collaborate with the Catholic Music Director and Chaplain on music selections.
• Attend regular planning meetings with the Catholic Music Director.
• Prepare for and participate in one-hour weekly rehearsals, separate from liturgical services.
• Perform at weekend Masses and special services, including a warm-up session before each.
