Plan, organize, and coordinate music selections for the Catholic community.
Attend 2 hours weekly (1 hour for rehearsal, 1 hour for performance).
Perform at Sunday Mass at 9:30 a.m., lasting typically one hour but not more than an hour and a half.
Support special services including New Year’s Day, Ash Wednesday, Holy Triduum, Easter Vigil, Assumption, All Saints Day, Immaculate Conception, Christmas, Christmas Eve Masses, Confirmation, Advent, and Lenten Communal Reconciliation Services, among others as required by the Catholic Priest.
Ensure all audio/visual equipment is set up and tested before each performance.
Monitor and advise on the condition of choir equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of choir area after use.
Open and secure chapel facilities for choir activities.
Participate in at least one continuing education or professional development event annually, if funds are available.
Qualifications:
Ability to read music.
Familiarity with a wide range of Catholic music, including traditional, contemporary, and liturgical styles.
Two or more years of experience as an accompanist or a degree in music with proficiency in piano, keyboard, or organ.
Maintain a lifestyle consistent with Catholic principles.
