Job description:  Catholic Religious Education Coordinator

Location:   Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB) Chapel

Duties:

• The CREC/shall comply with all Chapel Air Force Instructions and Chapel Operating instructions.
• Organize religious education monthly classes, and sacramental preparation classes.
• Organize at least two volunteer teacher-training events each year  the annual Sunday School Christmas program when such a program is deemed.
• The CREC shall visit each class. If CRE classes are done virtually because of chapel closure or to accommodate those who cannot attend in person, a weekly visit on a virtual CRE platform (Zoom, GoToMeeting, etc.) will still be required.
• Generate all publicity for the RE program: RE announcements, flyers, bulletin inserts, events guide and calendar.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Employee shall be able to speak English fluently and provide positive customer service in an interfaith pluralistic environment.
•  Possess a bachelor’s degree in education or related field or equivalent experience.
• Must be an approved Catechist teacher with the Archdiocese for the Military Services.
•  Resume must reflect at least two (2) years of experience including.
• Catholic Priest stating they are currently practicing Catholic in their Parish and are in good standing with the Catholic Church.
• Shall have basic working skills with Computer programs.
• Shall be a practicing Roman Catholic and present a letter of good standing from their local.
