Job Title: Catholic Religious Education (RE) Coordinator

Location:  KEESLER AFB, MS 39534-2701

Duties:

• Recruit and provide training requirements for volunteer catechists.
• Maintain Religious Education volunteer roster and email program changes as required.
• Coordinate all Religious Education support requirements with the Senior Catholic Priest-Chaplain or designee in his absence.
• Coordinate all Religious Education support requirements with the Senior Catholic Priest-Chaplain or designee in his absence.
• Ensure volunteers are aware of local safety requirements and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Have evidence of advanced studies in theology or religion. A master’s degree in theology or religious Studies, or an Advanced Certificate in Catechesis is preferred.
• Coordinators of Religious Education who have not earned a master’s degree in theology or religious Studies are required to pursue an advanced certificate in catechesis.
• Provide resume and evidence/portfolio including academic and work-related experience to show a minimum of one (1) year experience in the Family Faith Assessment Program, or teaching, coordinating and directing a Religious Education program in a chapel/church setting.
