Catholic Teacher

Job Title:  Catholic Religious Education Coordinator 

Location: Altus, OK 

Duties: 

- Arrange for teachers and volunteers as needed. Student to teacher ratio will be one adult for every ten children, with a minimum of two adults present at all times. 

- Ensure facility is orderly and restored to its original condition after each function. 

- Be able to effectively work with chaplains, chapel staff, teachers, and parishioners of all faith groups. 

- Register and train Catholic Youth of the Chapel (CYOC) and Summer School students, teachers, and new families when required. 

- Maintain attendance and training records on students and teachers in all Catholic Religious Education. 

- Ensure that all new teachers/volunteers working with children will have an appropriate background check accomplished per Chapel Operating Instructions. 

- Prepare publicity needed for the religious education program including, but not limited to: bulletin/pulpit announcements, worship aids, program calendars, flyers, permission slips, etc. 

Qualifications: 

-  Master's Degree in Theology or Religious Studies in Roman Catholic Doctrine . 

-  provide Certificate of Youth Protection Training. (optional)
