Job Title:  Ceremonial Organist

Location : Joint Base, Myer-Henderson Hall, Fort Myer , VA 22211

Job Type : Part-Time

Responsibilities:

• provide Musician Services (Organist, Pianist/Keyboardist) to support funerals, ceremonies and special services.
• Prepare and perform live music during a wide range of events,
• Possess sufficient experience playing their specific musical instruments appropriate at public worship services and ceremonies.
• Collaborate with event organizers, planners, and clients to understand the event's purpose, desired mood, and musical preferences.
• Maintain a polished and respectful appearance, reflecting the formality and importance of the events you participate in.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated understanding of religious and worship music.
• Demonstrated understanding of military ceremonies.
• Master’s Degree in Sacred Music or related field.
• Ability to perform at or above Sheet Music Plus (SMP) Skill Level 9.
